I found challenging when we had to record the video because it was hard to find a place to set the camera up. I really liked it when we got to edit the video because we laughed at all the muck ups.

Matariki

This week's writing is about Matariki. It is to reflect on the last year, and some of the things that have happened and some stuff that has happened in our families and friends.

But firstly I am going to talk about Matariki. Matariki is 7 stars close to each other that you can see at the end of May or early June. The Maori call these the seven stars of Matariki. Most English call the stars the Pleiades. For the Maori, Matariki is the celebration of the New Year. Most of us could think that it is really weird because New Years is on the first of January, really though it doesn't matter what day your family chooses for the first day of the New Year.

Compared with other clusters of stars, Matariki is close to Earth but it is still 440 light-years away. If you drove there in a car at a speed of 100 kilometres an hour, you would arrive in 4.8 billion years!!

Now to start with the latest year.

I have had lots of fun the past year, like doing the moonlight triathlon, nearly beating canterbury at league, going up to Moana, going to sparks in the park, getting into rep teams and much more.

In our family COVID-19 hasn't affected any of us, We are just worried if it would get to Keil. Last year for Easter my family went in a camper van and drove to the north island checking out all the amazing places on the way.

In conclusion, the last year hasn't been the best but our big family has worked our way around it.

Fridays daily connection question

Fridays daily connection question

If you could be any age for a week, how old would you be and why?
If I could be any age for a week I would probably want to be 11 again I don't really know why but most stuff was easier like sports and school.

Reshaping the world

One day I was having lunch at the pub and an angel came down from heaven to sit with me for lunch. We had lunch and as she was going she left a key. I took the key with me everywhere I went for 2 and a half years. I was getting sick of carrying it around so I took it to the top of the clock tower and there was a hole, perfect for my key. I stuck it in the hole, Nothing happened I was sad and went home. When I got home there was a whole mini-world inside my house. I found the street beside my house and touched it. BOOM!! The whole street shook. At this moment I knew I could control what happened to the world. As I was sleeping that night an idea popped up in my head. I said out loud “Reshaping the world”......
